Classes Offered

Introduction to Firearms - $20 - With or Without Shooting - No experience necessary. A two-hour class that introduces students to firearms. We cover the history, types, and actions of firearms, how ammunition works, how to load and unload, and how to safely handle firearms if need be. This class does use unloaded firearms and dummy ammo, but there will be no live ammo or shooting in the classroom portion, so it can be held anywhere. 

Optional - $40 - A two-hour trip to a local shooting range to allow the students to shoot a variety of our firearms, using our ammunition.

Buying a Handgun - $20 - With or Without Shooting - What to know when you're interested in buying your first handgun. We cover action types, advantages and disadvantages of each, what to look for, what to ignore, and other oft-overlooked details before you put your money down. Also covers many accessories, such as holsters. About an hour and a half.
Optional - $40 - A two-hour trip to a local shooting range to allow students to shoot a variety of types, makes, calibers, and sizes of our handguns, using our ammunition.

Introduction to Pistol - $80 - A two-hour class that covers the basics of pistol shooting, including stance, grip, sight picture, trigger pull, basic holster use, and more. Both semi-automatics and revolvers will be covered. Loaner pistols are available.

Defensive Pistol - $80 - A two-hour class that covers techniques and accessories specific to defensive firearms use, including the use of holsters, flashlights, and more. Basic pistol competence must be demonstrated. Loaner pistols and holsters are available. May be combined with above class.

Coaching Session - $50 - ​One hour of personal instruction. May be shared with one other student, if both are at relatively comparable skill levels.
